PRO'S
Decent chassis which handles well, engine can be tunned to give a decent speed, built by BMW (if that actually menas anything)
CONS
over priced car, too small inside for the size of car, underpowered for the price bracket it is in. has a gay image, does have a doggy engine.
in it's current form it is way off the pace of other cars to which it is likened although I feel the FRS, CTR, LCR are too big to be considered a hot hatch as we know it. the clio, the 206 GTi, VTS, Ibizia cupra are the cars that it should be compared too. in this company the VTS and ibiza are like for like on speed but the ibiza cannot match the mini or VTS for handling. the clio cup handles the same if not better than the mini while the 206 has a flatter more refinded chassis. in this company I feel the mini does very well if you just look at performance and handling. the next generation of hatches from FIAT, Seat and Citroen will have to improve on power and handling.
