onyl problem i ever had was it would always spin in the wet going round corners , even at 30/40mph the front was lower than the back and i had good tyres on , u reckon it was the suspenion that caused this dave ?

My dad has an ST170 and does 0-60 in 7.9 seconds. That is a hot hatch.
focus is a medium sized family car it is not a hatch even though it is a hatchback design it is not the same as what we refer to as a hatch

You need an LSD and or sticky tyres i find the Rallye spins up alot easier than the old 2.1 did.

no it was probably the fact that you were gunning it coming out of corners

They are larger engines, bigger power figures and dont weigh much more than a corsa. Remember that my corsa weighs almost 1000kg's with driver and hardly any fuel.

Get a quaiffe lsd like the RS focus has as standard, that'll help.
They're light wee cars so their aint alot of weight on the driven wheels hence they'll spin up easier.
When i've my 185-55-14 048R's on it grips much better.

my point is that 0-60 in 9 secs or above is quite an average time
if you consider ur car to be 'hot' then u must consider these cars to be 'hot' also

but some cars are safer than others in a crash. Im not saying the Corsa B is the safest in a crash, but i would rather be in one than a saxo or 205 thats for sure.
