You can have half a consession;

It may well handle better but that doesn't mean it has more grip.

I sold my corsa and bought a GTi-6 a few weeks ago, and even without lowering, the handling is great.

Would the 306 handle aswell as the 106?

I remember raping a MR2 turbo in my corsa on the way back from competing at a hill climb event, he just couldn't keep up.

Gutted? i bet he was...

I reckon the 306 Gti-6/Rallye is better.

I hardly think you would 'rape' a car that goes down the quarter in 13.8s?

Probably not, as its heavier, a nice bit of lift off oversteer works wonders on the pugs though

It also depends on the size of the drivers ball size

My old corsa did it in 13.28@106.4mph

Its getting a snort of NOS soon so expect lower 13's or high 12's.

I never said your Corsa wasn't quicker, just the term 'raping' was a little over the top.

He probably had the roof off and was thinking about his appointment at the salon.

God i love threads like this!!

Let me just say this for all the kids arguing..Good handling is fuk all without grip.Grip is NOT handling.A combination of both is what makes a car.

I really need to drive a 106 GTI Best thing Clarkson has ever said..

Oh dear.....i'm not gonna start.
Suffice to say the 106Gti came 2nd in a Top gear(i think)production car handling contest, an MR2 "turbo" didn't win.

If anything the turbo model would handle worse then a n/a model due to the power deliverly.

I have to say that I doubt the MR2 turbo was actually in the test and therefore you cannot compare the fact that the 106 GTi came second
