What the bloody hello wrong with it now? Also you're mad doing that on the roadside invest in a garage, or even a house with one attached.

Well.
It's been faultless since I bought it. However, when driving to South Wales last weekend. The boot that sits been gear stick and gear linkage died. So shut grease everywhere. His in turn got into the pinch bolt area between two
Shafts and stopped me being able to select gears.
I slowly went down to
Less and less gears. Until I only had 4th. Due to
Hills, and bumps etc and us staying in a forest I called breakdown. They took 3.5 hours but not last 20 mins as I live in lower emmison zone... New truck woudnt take car as too low, so ragged fuck out of it after selecting third (from in the bay) to get me all down a12 and home.
So clutch needing replacing and new boot, I thought is just change engine.
So here we are

My last car was the Corsa C 1.8 SRI and tbh if I were you I'd go down the z20let route. The car was spot on but those engines aren't that quick at all tbh, even with mods. Or for what it'll cost you to do the conversion you could probs pick a SRI up cheaper, then sell your bumper and wheels etc and you'll be in profit surely.

I know how they are.
I've had turbo engines in my last Corsa, people always want you to buy more when it's not their money, or then doing it. I know it will never be quick.
I've already sold all modified engine bits off my last engine. Already well into profit. I'm happy
Plus a Sri wasn't made in my colour.
So means Paying for resprayed stuff. Removing my new dash. This is a shell after that. Swapping brakes over swapping B steering wheels on a car that I don't have history about.
You'd struggle to get a Sri for less than what I've pid for this engine aswell.

You mis understood what I said that time, I did ite out a reply but didn't post it.
I was effectively saying take a grand and run. ONLY because you got t cheap, didn't spend anything and would get that money easily.
A quick buck for barley any work was my reasoning that was all

You have taken the car apart, what difference does history make. As long as it's tidy and solid, that's all i would care about.
If i lived on your street i'd be truly fucked off as well. Some idiot taking his car a part on the street getting in the way of people walking past, potentially leaving dangerous tools/parts where kids play and making a mess.
