Front screen is back in, rear pads have arrived, doors are back on (and adjusted to help keep lexan windows in their places), 1 seat is in.

Nice suspension, I was considering the ERs for the Mazda but thought they were overkill.
Why the swap from the tein stuff?

They look really good, what's happening with the vinyl? adding new sponsors or just having a swap around with the positioning? I kind of like it more plain

Had a good day of 'testing' today at a Hot Hatch trackday at KH.... Not the best format to test things with a car but we're still glad to have got it out on track.
Some minor issues -
PS belt getting spat off a couple of times - will need adjusted
Boost leak - i had removed stuff from the front of the car but hadnt re-blocked the boost hose off from the inside of the 'bulkhead'.
Super BGW stayed on
Tyres arent bad, much better than I had expected to be honest but unsure on any comparisons with 888's as we didnt bother fitting the 888's on at all as we only had about 10mins of tinker time before having to queue for 15mins to get out on track for a 10 min session.
We had a datalogger running for all but the first session, but Fee wasnt going out to set any lap records (actuator pressure and 6000rpm rev limit ). Will be good to overlay it on a 888 lap to see any glaring differences in corner speed.
Diff - Think it'll take Fee a while to trust it... we'll try softening the rear end/ARB a bit in future but its VERY go kart like now
Hot Hatch Days - Its the first one i've done for about 7years. Cheap but you really dont get much track time at all.... and the time you do get you cant really 'use' well. Its just a case of going out and lapping, you cant really come in and alter in the pits. To be expected really as its not open pit, or a test day
Still - about 7 10-15min sessions between 9-5 and about 10 to 15mins queuing for each session (thats the worst part )
Wheels - surprisingly ok, no scrubbing at all expect the usual front at the hairpin due to the castor
Will 'edit' it that

She started with a £400 205 GTi.
Its not all about money The best advice would be to just get out there and use whatever you can. Thats much more worthwhile and rewarding than laying the car up for 1/2/3 years whilst you collect a gucci shopping list of car parts that 'may' not add anything positive to the experience.

a couple of sections that see heavy wear are getting a bit tatty.
The leading edge of the rear 1/4 (just behind the door) - area bad for stone chips on normal cars
Front bumper has a couple of marks.
The lower rear 1/4s behind the arches will prob get re-done this year as they are a bit damaged from pulling off old stickers that must have been MEGA sticky.
We've had sections patched as the car has been through the wars and had upgrades over the years.
The wrap was initially done in March or early April 2009. The drivers side rear 1/4 and boot skin were re-done in late April as Fee went into a tyre wall backwards.
Very early 2010 - Both rear 1/4s were done due to new wider arches and a new rear bumper to replace the crashed one from early 2009.
so yes, sections can be replaced.... and have been

4.25l 6nozzle fire system in
wide angle rear view mirror in
uprights trimmed and painted......finished (for now) Will get the cross braces done soon.
boot skin on the way to being fitted. Just waiting for some spring clips to arrive.
A bit more of the cage painted
Rear firewall patched, sealed and re-painted.
Suspension pre-tension set roughly. Will corner weight soon hopefully.
Geometry re-set/changed. Now using EVO camber bolts as the GTR ones were buggered

car is now mapped on new engine with 3 maps to use. We'll use the lowest one and a touch less boost to start with - still over 600bhp though.
Old engine
V Power - 569bhp, (501AWHP), 432lbft
25% E85 - 611bhp, (521AWHP), 456lbft
New engine (mild cams, turbo elbows, a wee bit more boost)
V Power - 639bhp, (547AWHP), 517lbft
25% E85R - 670bhp, (577AWHP), 533lbft
50% E85R - 691bhp, (596AWHP), 547lbft

i thunk the free'r flowing turbo exhaust elbows help a lot.... and the port matching.... and the cams & pullies.
We gained about 25bhp mid last year by changing the exhaust only
Pure E85R and some agressive timing/boost would give great numbers - but I try to tell my self its not all about the numbers
Fee is 'still' prob the lowest powered GTR in TA
The other two R32's had 820AWHP and 700AWHP last year!
