Kuyt 25 goals in 95 games - 1 goal every 3.8 games

Eduardo 4 goals in 17 games - 1 goal every 4.25

Not vastly different....

I rate him, he does a good role on the right hand side in games against tough opposition (hence why he was MOTM in most games in the latter stages of the CL last season.

But as a forward he isnt a great signing by any means.

No, not if you just look at goals to games

But Kuyt has averaged better on 78 more games, hardly proves eduardo is going to be a good signing, he'll be average, alright, zlatan

Guthrie to Newcastle a done deal

from nufc.co.uk
NEWCASTLE United have completed the signing of midfielder Danny Guthrie from Liverpool.

The 21-year-old put pen to paper on a four-year contract at St. James' Park on Friday evening after the Magpies agreed a fee with the Reds.

Danny, signed for an undisclosed fee, told nufc.co.uk: "I'm really happy to be joining Newcastle United.

"I'm ready to get involved straight away and I cannot wait to meet the boys and get started."

Danny spent last season on loan at Bolton Wanderers and was well liked by fans at the Reebok Stadium during his time there.

United boss Kevin Keegan told nufc.co.uk: "I'm absolutely delighted that we've got Danny.

"He proved himself in the Premier League last season so we know he can play at that level.

"He's at the right age and is a good signing for us."

Shrewsbury-born Danny is Newcastle's second signing of the summer following the arrival of Argentine international Jonas Gutierrez from Real Mallorca.

£2.5m is the figure being mentioned, not a bad deal tbh for either team. For us as he hasnt really done anything to show he is worth that much, and for Newcastle as he does have a lot of promise if he can reach his full potential.

Arsenal are trying to hijack our move for Barry - yes please Mr Wenger

United have bid £20m for Berb - why?!?! Are two deep sitting forwards not enough for you that you'll go out and spend £20m on another.
