One way of looking it. A lot of Luton fans on Conf Forum saying that he could have been the difference betwen winning the league and the playoffs again and obviously getting back in the league is worth much much more than £150,000 but you cant do much if he had a release clause and you also cant stop him moving that far up the leagues.
Obviously if you get up anyway then it looks a good deal.
Joys of life in the conf, get ripped off all over the park.
He isn't the difference to that IMO. We agreed to the £150k clause and it was met. Life goes on. I hear Wilmott is a talent.

Fuck me don';t say that..! May aswell just do a FT9 / AC9 swap
I dont think it should be a penny over £20m personally, but would be a great addition.

I think he'll go today, just for how much?
Why would he have been allowed to go down there? It's like Ashley is dangling the carrot to get as much money as possible, which isn't a bad idea if we're going to sell him I suppose.
Just think if it was outright rejected he wouldn't have been allowed to go down..

Problem being, it most likely won't be...

It's a tough one.
We'll get £40mil (?) for staying up, so can use that in the summer to bolster the squad, but again dependant on Ashley

The alternative is wait 'til summer, he clearly wants to go, and receive bids of a third of that which you have to accept or are left with an unhappy nutjob playing for you.

It's a tough one. We do need him up front. It's being reported that it wasn't even £35mil now

How is it clear he wants to go?

Nothing official but a number of media outlets, BBC included have suggested he's keen to move.

That means little, as they reported we had accepted a bid of £35mil. It's all rumours and speculation.
If it turns out to be true then a deal will be done. I would want him to leave if he is unhappy.

We'd be laughing with Carroll & Torres upfront together though.
Even more so when one of them gets injured and we use Suarez

The Editor:
More twists in the Andy Carroll saga. Newcastle have accepted a transfer request from the striker - in spite of Liverpool's two rejected bids.
