Guys
Alun, what sort of timescale was that over? Any deposit/final payment too?
I'm looking at a loan for about that monthly payment - approx £6k paid back over 2 years for a decent Fabia, just need the missus to find a job so I can afford a car!

over 3 years, £1000 deposit and the laughable £600 they offered me for mine. Just need to get myself a promotion and i'm having one!
Put my car on that swapz website...
so far i've been offered a black focus, a 51plate mondeo, a proton satria and a pug 306 cabriolet... nothing really tickles my pickle
And some guy asked me how much I wanted cash, not even sure what it's worth

just been offered this...

Or something with a conversion? That could be a pushbike with a 125cc engine on back wheel for all he cares!
PS Anyone good with making up exhaust systems?

getting desparate to swap the corsa now... not through really wanting to but i'm not going into it
looking at seeing if I can get a swap for this
http://www.newportcarsales.co.uk/used_car_vauxhall_astra_hatchback_10071.htm
debadged, derubstripped maybe decent set of alloys it'll look tidy. No slower than the corsa, and it actually works out cheaper to insure!

there are no corsa 1.3cdti's for sale locally, they're bloody expensive as well plus i'm sick of corsa's and fancied an astra for some time as well. Rather a 3dr but meh, might go have a butchers tomorrow if I get up at a respectable time!

yep! lol been offered a black 3dr mk4 golf 1.4... it will be slower but it's a much nicer car. Air filter, stainless steel exhaust, it'll look mint, and will probably make a project of it wanted a mk4 golf for years so think i'm going to go for it

mk4 golf weighs A LOT, little engine means you will use a lot more fuel putting foot down to get it to move/go anywhere,

Very true, I'm planning on getting it, keeping for a little while and then getting the GT Tdi. I do mainly motorway miles other than to work and the gym etc so it should be ok economy wise once it's going. Will do 50mpg combined apparently. Much more sensible car, should be pretty reliable and a damn sight comfier, I think I've already decided chap who wants to swap it says the drivers door lock is playing up and some lacquer is peeling, but said he will give me the cash to sort it. Hoping to be rolling in the vag world soon
