IF he bangs in 20+ goals a season for say 5 years, it will be a good deal.

How Chelsea paying £50m for Torres is disgusting and ruining football yet £35m for Carroll is showing commitment

Essentially Liverpool are swapping Torres for Carroll and Adam.

When you think of it like that, considering I personally think Torres is done and has been for a year, it is a good deal.

I think I'd have spent my £50 million elsewhere right enough. That buys you David Villa and change from abroad.

Carroll is the next Duncan Ferguson!

Hes had half a 'decent' season FFS! This time last year everybody was sucking Carlton Cole off and he was 'worth 20m' PMSL! Look at him now.

Massive, massive gamble, he will be banged up or in rehab this time next year. I would feel sick if i was a liverpool fan.

Maybe this will 'restart' Torres' career? Move could do him good. We all know what he is capable of and if he hits form again, him and Drogba would be scary
