Thought Liverpool wanted £10m from Villa? proves you cant belive everything you read.
The papers were printing the deal we agreed with Villa last summer if they wanted him, which was £8m + the £2m they paid us to loan him for a season.
Carson has been a great buy. £750K he cost us, then we've easily recouped this in loan fees to Charlton. Then we got £2m for his loan move to Villa last season, and now approx another £4m

I'd imagine we'd have some decent clauses in there if Stoke stay up, and also if he goes on to play for England, etc.

I might upset a few people saying this but in my opinon Carson is totally over rated, he is a good shot stopper but that is it - it doesnt suprise me at all that none of the so called 'bigger' clubs are after him

I also want to LOL at Arshavin - he is doing his upmost to try and get a move to a big club - arshavin fancues gunners - i bet he does! Another over rated player and i hope he doesnt end up over here being paid far too much than he should be

Yeah its confused me a little as would put his value at well over £4m just down to Sunderland paying silly prices for a keeper last season.

City make a confirmed £25.5m bid for Ronaldinho.
Id like to say its silly money for him, and technically it is given his current state and the fact its obvious he would only go there for the money, but they'll easily make that back over his contract.

They'll make that back in shirts alone in the UK!!
Not to mention what it'll do to Man Citys profile in the far east!

I doubt they'd make up £25.5m in shirt sales from just over here, thats close to 650,000 shirts (and is just revenue only, not even the profit form them!!). Worldwide though they'd stand a chance.
Agreed about their profile though, would increase it massively everywhere.

They dont, but Im sure worldwide their are enough Ronaldinho lovers who will buy a City shirt just to have him on the back of it.

Man City shirts are made by Le Coq Sportif IIRC i bet there paying half the transfer fee - a firm like them with Ronaldinho playing init every week is priceless

Yay, advantage me
Im with you really, I'd welcome Barry at Liverpool if we were a little flush - but we arent and we have a great player for that position already.
So Arsenal are welcome to him, and good luck to the lad playing for his second choice.

Rovers are planning for life without David Bentley and are set to make a £5m bid for Liverpool winger Jermaine Pennant. (Daily Mirror)
Hand. Snap. Off.
