Yeah, I got confused for a minute then. He unofficially had 19 before the season kicked off, then had 23 when it did, he only played friendlies with 19.

I'm sure he registered that as a trademark or something last summer when they thought he was on the move... So I agree, he'll get No. 9.

Owen would have to be on a pay as you play deal.

He may well go for that at united because being there is his best chance of getting back in the England team, which would be very slim at next seasons relegated team Hull.

Still, he'll be injured all season and able to focus on his horses

He'd have more chance at Hull IMO, as there he would get consistent first team football (injuries ignored), where as at United he'd be one of many possible starters.

Barcelona land Keirisson, not yet 100% confirmed but Palmeiras are saying he's agreed a contract.

Are you still saying we have strength in depth after losing Ronaldo and Tevez

During his time with Newcastle Owen reportedly cost £41m that works out at £631k for each game or £1.36m per goal he scored
Seen a couple of figures banded about for wages if he went to Man Utd - £50k a week which I'd expect him to take or £20k a week with bonuses on top that would put him up near the £110k a week he reportedly earnt with us

First bit of transfer news I've seen with a player actually coming to us is apparently Sol Campbell. Would probably be a good signing for the championship and to give some experience along side Taylor

It would be a MASSIVE gamble if Ferguson was to only sign Owen
If he can keep fit, then he could become a good player for us
Personally, I'd like to see us bring in someone like Fabiano & maybe Bentley
Could do a lot worse & maybe Spurs would let him go for a reasonable fee
