Sorry to hear the news on the engine. Full strip down is on the cards I guess? Know how much of a shitter it is just as things seem to be coming together to have something go wrong. Believe me I had been in the same position countless times.

Might be a stupid idea but... You have solid engine mounts, could it not be a lot of vibration noises in the bay making it sound like it's knocking? Might be stupid because I'm sure the guy knows what he's looking at but thought id throw it in the ideas lol

thanks for your concern , you didnt seam so concerned with your comment on vs this morning , but nice edit

well went to collect it this morning , chris the mapper asked if we wanted to hear the noise so with camera in hand he started it

we then found that the bolt holding the cam pully was loose and the noise was it hitting the cover, also there was no lock tight on it

tightened it up and that sorted that

so chris did a bit more of final mapping

then bought it home and stuck it on the ramp

droped the oil on it and changed that

then took the rocker cover of to check everything was tight , and a few of them wernt tight enough

tightened them and put cover back on , little vid

then took it out for a drive did about 15 miles in it is great to drive , found a few isues when i got back, one of the cv clips wasent tight enough so a bit of greese has come out, need to get a juble clip for that , oil pressure sensor has a leak, that needs a copper washer putting on, and also noticed there was oil leaking out of the crank bolt, turns out that that wasent tight either with no thread lock on it , so took all the cam belt of as when the pully came loose it has dammaged the edge of the belt so getting a new belt on monday and will have it back together in a few hours

good side of the belt

damaged side

also couple of pics out to prove its been driven lol

could of been so much worse just glad we cought it before the bolts came out
