Hernandez best not be going anywhere, i'd be seriously pissed if he is sold because of rvp If Berbatov stays il be amazed. No idea where he'll go though, not sure why nobody wants him tbh.

With an option to a permanent transfer apparently. Would have been happy if we had got Tello on loan too but that looks doomed
from what i heard, we insisted on a purchase option and they repeatedly refused. not sure whetehr that has changed, seems mourinho is insisting that if he goes to liverpool and rodgers, then he can come back and he will consider him in future - very bizarre.

I don't think we'll be getting an option to buy at the end, maybe first refusal but I seriously doubt that Madrid would be giving us an option to buy when it's clear they rate him and are sending him on loan to develop him rather than just get rid of him.

yup definately, from what we understand sahin wanted to come to arsenal but mourinho persuaded him it woudl be better to work with rodgers. however, playing guarantees are likely to be better at Liverpool than Arsenal

Because Arsenal are obviously brimming with quality across the park.

If we're talking about midfield then I'd rather go into the start of the season with what is likely to be our main midfield five than yours (assuming we get Sahin). That would stand even if you had the best young player in the world fit, or if Song ends up staying.

Diaby, Wilshere, Arteta, Song, Cazorla, Walcott, Gervinho and Podolski... wouldnt swap that for any other club, let alone a mid table teams

Arteta is absolutely top draw Just a shame we didnt get him before he turned 30, top top class player. Diaby I think may well surprise people if he can stay fit, he has the quality. And Gervinho is OK, looked much better in pre-season, usual first year induction but think he'll be strong

At the end of the day Robbo, we cant really keep selling our players. The best teams are the teams where the core of the side has played together for a while.
We aren't going backwards, just stepping sideways all the time.
All this Spurs forever in Arsenals shadow... Seems Arsenal are the new Spurs feeding the bigger teams there best players
Isn't Modric going to Real Madrid?
Yes but thats ok, hes going out the country

Just to further back up on Arteta...
http://www.eplindex.com/12157/mikel-arteta-arsenals-pivotal-playmaker.html
Slightly before the end of the season but shows the key stats. Rememebr when we qualified for the CL (you liverpool fans remember that competition yeah?), well the reason we couldnt tie it up before the final game of the seaosn was due to Arteta getting injured. he may not be the most spectacular player but he holds the ball amszingly well, distrubiutes it superbly and has a killer finish to boot

I think our definition of a midfield differs (I'm not talking about wingers or forwards).....
Arteta, Wilshere, Song, Rosicky, Diaby, Cazorla (just about) - Fine.
(Podolski, Walcott, Gervinho - not in my book).
Gerrard, Lucas, Allen, Sahin, Henderson, Adam.
I would prefer our midfield (assuming we get Sahin) than yours, regardless of whether you call us a mid table club or not Lucas is better than any of of your DM's, Gerrard is better than any of your midfielders.
I'm really looking foward to seeing Allen alongisde Gerrard and Lucas.

Arteta is a good player, no doubt, but he stands out because the rest of your midfield was garbage last season.
