I guess we'll need the same comments after everytime an engine manufacturer releases one of these videos
Once it's bolted to a car, under load and plumbed into a proper exhaust etc - it'll sound totally different, will be popping and banging like a motherfucker and it'll be ace.

Yep. Which will be interesting to see how they work it because with all the engines being so different, they'll be designing a chassis to take one engine one year, then a whole new one (or at least revised) the next. I think the Honda deal is a fantastic one for McLaren, I don't think there's a engine manufacturer that I'd rather be with for this type of technology but it'll still be interesting to see how they handle the change between the two, while most teams are just evolving their cars, they'll have to make some big changes.
Or at least that's what I'm guessing anyway.

All just opinions and guesses (and its GA, which is almost enough to discard as bullshit instantly) but I'm infinitely more inclined to agree with this theory over traction control. Might not be right, but it will be something similar.

Good read, though he's doing it again
quote:
one millimetre movement upwards as opposed to one millimetre downwards would allow the car to be set up with two millimetre lower front ride-height, which could improve lap-time performance by somewhere in the region of 0.2-0.3 seconds.

I'm still thinking they are doing something very clever with KERS
There is no explanation from RBS over all the problems they have been having. Even caterham have the KERS side of things all sorted so it points very strongly they are attempting to do something very clever
Was interesting to see vettel strip his tyres when he didn't have KERS on film load, again a pointed that it helps them keep the tyres good

Webber only a tenth off the Mercs on a tyre one second slower...jesus wept. Just got to laugh now, i reckon Seb could've put it on pole on mediums with a perfect lap
Happy that Lotus fucked up with Grosjean, hopefully that rules him out of scoring major points for them.

Lotus need to be 2nd for me! They are more deserving and really need the money (inless the sponsors have signed yet) but merc have a massive budget so wont make much difference to them. Lotus have done well on what they have give them a bigger budget and might give red bull a run

Big budget or not, to fall behind renault and ferrari in the constructors will be a massive blow for them.
Being 'best of the rest' would be a grewt achirvement for merc.

I might be making this up but the prize money is exempt from the so called budget restrictions. For that reason it's important financially even for the big budget teams.
Well done Seb/RBR... hope you suck at turbos but somehow I doubt it!

Shocked at being 2 secs clear on first lap.
Even after first few straights he was so far a head.
