Haha, it took a while. Unbelievable how sensitive the adjustments are. Had to mess on with the mixture screws too, but seems to be running well now. Revs quickly, no pops or bangs and starts first time with no idle fluctuation etc

Broke it. Fixed it. Also drove it 150 odd miles today. Definitely needs new suspension and seats.

Nothing, just cut the headlamp open again and messed around with a few bits. Standard stuff.

I doubt £3.79 for a tube of Sealant would make much of a dent in monthly payments for a golf

Bumper off again today as I forgot to fit this air intake thingy. Also applied some more Sealant around the headlamp as it fogged up a tiny bit yesterday. It was fine today though.

Same as Gav's one, minus the scene crap.

Got very confused using cruise control when it's adaptive cruise control and it started braking for me because I pulled out too close behind a car on the motorway. It then just matched the speed of that car until it pulled in. Not sure I like it.

Was odd going up the slip road off the motorway and it braking and stopping the vehicle on its own, then setting off again. Bizarre feeling tbh. Will just use regular cruise control in the future.

When I test drove the Leon Cupra with adaptive cruise I loved it! In fact it's the only option that I went for.

Cruise normally frustrates the hell out of me because of the varying speeds of other motorists, you slowly creep up behind someone so you pull out - then they just speed up or match your speed?!

Adaptive was brilliant at just keeping me "around" the speed I want to go at and I don't need to respond to small deviations of pace in my lane. With a DSG box I imagine it's bloody epic for stop start traffic but maybe that's trusting it too much
