We triggered a release clause, it doesn't matter if someone then offered 50 million, blackburn still have to accept our offer, and then it is up to the player who he agrees to join.
We will have got him for our original offer, and i hope this is the first of 4 signings this summer
I think the Nani situation is more likely him lobbying for Mourinho to replace Fergie in the future
Gibson will be a good premiership player, so is a good buy for sunderland, it opens up another opportunity for Cleverley too

I always thought Cleverley was a CM too. But he's been getting played on the wing by England U21s as well What is it with England playing people out of position

Martinez played him left wing all season, when he is right footed
He played CM all season for watford, and has even said himself he wants to replace scholes in the middle
The thing that worries me with everyone we are being linked with, is that fergie doesnt seem to mind about CM, so he's either got massive faith in cleverley, who probably isn't ready yet, or he just thinks who we have are fine

I hope our interest in Lovren is real. I wouldn't be suprised to see us go after Dann and this fella for CB and ship out Soto and possibly even Agger.
Edit to add looks as though Wilson may be going back to Rangers on loan and with Ayala probably going back on loan somewhere, if we get someone like Lovren who is also comfortable playing RB it opens up more options for Kelly to get a few games at CB if injuries dictate (although some think we may be aiming to develop him into a full time RB, which I think is a bit silly considering he's already done a hamstring).
