the hood will only do anything if the light source isn't in the picture
i'd also be tempted to have a play with the white balance to get rid of the yellow tinge, some nice sharp images though

It's not those pics that I needed the hood for, I was parked under a light in a car park (see avatar) and had to use my hand as a DIY hood Otherwise it just ruined the pics. I can get some before and afters up later.
Cheers mate Yeah pretty pleased with them, just need some tweaking. Although saying that the lighting in the second pic was all yellowy orange so it's kind of natural if you get me.

Well if you carry on up that road past the elms parade shops keep going up the hill past the speed camera (if its still there) you will see a road call Arnolds way on your left. I lived on there from 0-16 years old

Awesome I think I know that road, it has Matthew Arnold's school on it and if you go down the massive hills it goes to the shops We used to skate the school in the summer Good times.
That speed camera is still there They turn it round every now and then to get people coming the other way.
The weird turn coming off of that road from the Parade direction down to Dean Court always reminds me of that corner at Leguna Seca

Yeah that's the road. And that's the school I went too after starting out at Cumnor Primary. Is there much of a car scene down that way? I moved a few weeks before passing my test.

In case you couldn't tell, I don't often get to talk local with people on here
It's mostly chavs in Saxos tbh, I once found out there's an Oxfordshire Vaux site but I can't remember the link now. There is the odd genuinely nice car rolling around, there's a proper ScEnE Bora that I used to see whilst queueing for the toll bridge in the mornings

Ahhhh the toll bridge!!
Is it still5p? I am guessing that it has long since gone up!
I remember the outrage on the local news when it went up from 2p to 5p

Yep still 5p, although I think the council have bought it. No sign of prices changing or being removed any time soon though It's quite a mission avoiding the potholes on the way home at the moment, to avoid one of them you have to get so close to the corner of the kerb it's unreal.
I remember that too Oh, the glory days of the 2p toll bridge Have to go over it every day now so buy bags of 5p's at a fiver a go, lasts a while then

A friend asked me to take some pictures at his gig last night. I was told I was in for a surprise with his costume. He was right.
As usual all large versions can be found on my Flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/doug86/
Was not posting for C+C but any advice is always welcome

I put my new Toshi strap onto my Monster. It actually suits it quite well! I'm just not sure if leather straps are for me so will see how it goes.
But either way I thought a photo would be fun. I have seen quite a few pictures with their watches on mirrors so thought I will have a go!

I was covering a boxing match in Birmingham today and walked past the Bullring. I know this has probably been photographed 101 times but I really liked the shape and angles.
