well thats it really, i kinda bought that diff a few years ago, and thats about as far as i got. i never thought when me and my mates first did the convesion it would end up like it has.
its still a daily driver, well every other day. so the atb works well enough for me on the roads round here for now.

yeah for got you use it for road aswel so plate type wouldnt suit that. pitty tho as i bet a plate type trans x would get you times down a lil bit as would cut out some of the wheels spin

well atb is better for round corners. i do a lot of driving on country roads to friends houses etc, so im happy enough with it. plate type yeah be better for drag strip. but firstly my car is a car. its not a drag car. it just gets taking to some rwyb when i can afford it. so for what i do on a weekly basis, yes i like the atb i think its good enough for me.

yeah oldskool jim has a way with words for sure. it was his fault that i ever started with engine conversions. my 1.6 nova wasnt a match for his 2litre 16v. was the first id ever seen round here. crazy crazy man indeed.

The sad thing is I keep hearing horror stories of them ripping them selves apart, they aren't as tough as the good old corsa.

nowhere near as strong no. my red xe nova had started to rip itself apart and that was seam welded etc.

TBH I wouldn't mind just having one for the day, just to do some roasting off traffic lights and see what annoyed faces look like etc.

i think not much really. apart from cheaper tyres. find out soon though.
the main thing will be this boost in gears carry on, if i can ever figure out why it isnt sensing the change from 2nd to 3rd and then to 4th. as it grips really well on 10psi boost.

not bringing it back up. but if you back off, then plant it in 3rd it is back up etc. so it cant be sensing what gear im in properly.
it asks you to input speed per 1000rpm. and its almost impossible to hold the car at 1k in all gears. so thinking about it, will holdit at 3k which is easier to do, then divide by 3 for the mph per 1000 rpm for each gear. then see what happens.
also it has a correction factor of 40%. which means the mph number could be 40% either way out of what it is. which is probably the main fault, but the engine mount collapsed and havent got back on with it since really.
job for when the yoko's are on the 15's this week. maybe play with it friday night and saturday afternoon.
