I thought that at first but if you are using powerlinks it takes seconds. I mainly do it because my bikes live in a shed. I don't have the time or energy to dry them completely before I put them away so rather than the chain sitting wet in the shed I take it off and let it dry inside

I need a top to wear on my commute, its too warm for the thermal and t-shirts just hold too much sweat. Still sporting my 3/4 length bib and jacket, what do you chaps recommend and from where? Haven't purchased any biking goods online yet :x

Short sleeve base layer under a t shirt, or how about a cycling jersey, endura humvee/royal java or something along those lines.

If you want to buy from wiggle.co.uk I can give you a referral link from my account so the first purchase you make (as long as its over £50) gets you a free pair of multi lens cycling glasses (worth £35).
Send me a U2U with your email address if interested x x

Getting some nice twat tan definition on the legs after just over a week of shorts and short sleeve jersey wearing.
Still taking warmers out with me but so far not needed them.

Didn't fancy trawling through 56 pages but I could do with some ideas on buying a bike as I'm absolutely clueless.
Only want to spend about £150-£200 on a second hand mountain bike. I'm a bit of a snob so I wouldn't mind a half decent branded one Mainly gonna be used in the summer just going on little rides with mates and that (round Delamere kinda places)
Been told to look on pinkbike but can't see an awful lot on there.
Any other places to look or specific brands?

Hit 400.3 miles for April today. Very happy with that in my first month of LeJog training.... thats at least 200 more than I have ever done in a month before.
Very happy with tonights 25 miler as it was on the back of 53 miles yesterday ... I didnt fancy it and the first 5 miles were awful - after that I got stronger and stronger and did the last 10 miles at over 18mph which is damn good for me - can definitely feel big improvements just over the space of a few weeks.
Very much up for hitting 500 by the end of April now

For £200 you could try and find a Specialized Hardrock. I managed to get a mint condition one for my misses a good few years ago for £120 - that was bit of a bargain mind.

Cheers Deano. My mates for a specialized p1 and I really like the look and ride of that but don't wanna get the same bike. I like the sloping middle bar and the lower seat.

Isn't that a jump/dirt bike? Is that what you are after?

I'm not sure, I'm a bit useless when it comes to bikes
I like the look and style of it. Definitely won't be doing any jumping on it

Yeah the P1 is a dirt jump bike. A bit specialist tbh! They only come in really small frames so for general pedalling they'll be shite.
Something like this will do you for general riding if that is your budget.

This would be worth stretching your budget for:

But that is the type of bike you should be aiming for. For £200 DO NOT buy full suspension.
For £200 you should be looking for a bike which previously RRP'd at about £350 - £400!

Did my second race of the season. placed better at this one as my tactics were better.
Think someone was trying to kill us off with this course though
savage climbs
long grassy tracks out in the sun
Techy sections
bmx track
flowing single track

finished woooo

Drives supercharged Tec with torque

Ahhh the days of racing XC.
That rocky decent looks like a tame version of Hadleigh Farm!
