just cut it all to what you want get it all fitted right under the car and then take it motor factors to put fittings on and flare the ends thats what i did

how come you didnt put a strengthening kit on with it bein a let?

there is alot of speculation over this, some say you dont need to strengthen a corsa bay if its solid, unless going over 400bhp..

yeah so would i, as i for sure dont trust a 14 year old shell! but suppose its down to what you would use the car for how long you want it to last etc etc

alltho there is nothing wrong with strengthening them . i would think other areas need doing too not just the cross member , ive yet to see one actually pull apart from power and not just being rotten .. alltho i have seen novas do it

i used 8v head bolt but the scotch ones not the torcks, if feel there a bit better

they dont strech that much plus they will be no where near as tight as they were in a head.

there not anywhere as near as tight as they would be in the head so will be fine.
also when you tighten down the head its to hold it down within a tolerance etc, these plates just need to be tight if you get me??
