its ok, im ashamed of the scenario outcome myself really. might make some vids tomorrow though setting up the in gear stuff. johnathan of jdm dyno fame thinks he has a front abs sensor for a corsa b floating about so will attach and wire that up and then play about tomorrow.

in other news my mate jim just bought a vectra vxr estate. picking that up next saturday from dundee. winner.

so today started well really. did a lot of messing about down at the rolling road.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QYI4pnn7HXg

beast for £100 quid. adam the youth has plans for it already.

mr jdm decided to teach the milkman how to use an air riffle

looks oh so dangerous. slim enough to be a proper stealthy sniper, or atleast a street gangster with the hat turned backwards. oddly for a blind middle aged man never shot anything air rifle etc before in his life, his aim was amazing. centre of the target time after time. shocking indeed. he wants to go to afghanistan now and show them how its done.

alan vtec messed on with his brakes on his legnum. has just had a 3" exhaust system made for it by jdm. sounds fairly nice.

then some work on the corsa slag.

fitted and wired up a front wheel speed sensor to make the in gear boost actually work.

someone asked for a pic of how much was ground off the caliper, so there it is. not much at all.

then a couple of hours ago went off to set up the in gear boost. got it all working nicely. 0.6bar in first and 2nd gear. 1bar in 3rd gear then 1.5 for the rest. was gripping well. infact id go so far as to say them yoko's with 32psi tyre pressure grip better than the toyo's on 10psi. actually incredible how much better they are.

so all going well then disaster. after doing a bit data logging to make sure everything was working nice. did a set off from 0. clean off the clock in a matter of seconds. probably knocking the doors of 160+ really quickly. to then be greated by an awful sight at high speed.....

oil pressure light on, gauge reading 0. wtf??????????

to be continued.............................................

oh shit
did you switch the engine off straight away, a mates brother has a rally mk2 golf and the oil light went on (later discovered the remote oil filter pipe blow off) and he switched the engine off right away, still managed to fuck a few bottom end bearings furthest from the oil pump. Hopefully it will be just bearings and nothing else for you

yeah hope so. will check it out tomorrow.

ive got a bad feeling though it is baffle plate/pick up pipe related.

when putting the dipstick in, its catching on something when we had engine running for a very short time. like as if it was touching crank. but it cant be. so, guessing at baffle or pick up pipe falling off perhaps...............

worrying indeed. just as i needed to get a form sent off to run at totb aswell.

only one way to find out. got the halfords tool set already by the door to rock and roll in the morning.

what worries me these days is, im not even remotely scared of what i might find. whatever it is, it needs fixed. thats the only way i can look at it.

also gives me a chance to change to a sump that doesnt have hair-line cracks on it. maybe no oil leak.......
