He's 29 this month, he wants a 5 year contract which will take him to nearly 34 and obviously higher wages. He's been offered a 2 year extension on his current contract with bonus' if we make top 7 (apparently), which he doesn't want. I can see the logic behind Cuntley's thinking (for a change).

Surely he's not going to get a rise moving to west ham though? Maybe he just likes playing in the championship

£4m isn't TOO bad for him either.
Only reason i can think of is the big sam link, and money, so they better get back up first time

Faye and Nolan are two very good players for the Championship. WHU should do well if they carry on adding to their squad with those kind of players.

supposedly Ba has left, looking at Everton or Newcastle, so we're probbly using his wages for Nolan!
Still all depends on who they keep tbh, would've hoped Hitz would give them a full season after being injured for 80% of last year, but he's wasted a season so wouldnt begrudge him for moving on. Parker will obviously go, Cole still somehow attracts interestp who knows about the rest, not sure who'd want half of them!

Where have you seen £4m, cavey?
It's added money to the war chest (hopefully). He would of been one of the higher earners as well. Cabaye is his replacement imo.
More from Joesph -
Joseph Barton
Great player, leader, captain, person, trainer and mostly a friend for life. Devastated to see him SOLD! #mejoseandjonasnext

How have West Ham managed to sign Nolan?
Allardyce and Redknapp continue to pull rabbits out the hat, I wonder how

Swap the word 'rabbits' with 'bungs' and the word 'hat' with the 'ass'.
