Never doing this again. Tried to be a smart arse and kept the windows down to minimise splatter on them. What I didn't count on was the dye dripping everywhere, so it went down the a-pillar and into the car
Comes off with fast glass amd a scraper, but it's very time consuming on the textured plastics. Even got on the leather seats
Anyway, it's done now. In future i'll invest in some proper blue tape and covers. Was going to.give it another coat, but think i'll leave it a month then apply a final coat followed by some proofer to give it some protection.
It's by no means perfect, as it's still a 10 year old fabric roof, but decent enough.
Will get pics later, sick of taking photos on my driveway.

If you like the design can you not just get them refurbed in a different colour as it would complete the car

Another driveway will suffice
As you can see, it's a very deep red, more like maroon.

no it's not, it's exactly what you see on smart car cabriolets. I will get the other halfs camera instead of using a mobile phone to take pics.
Here's another shit pic:
Either way, much better than black with green patches on.

I need some more (better) supplies first. Going to borrow some plastic sheets from work and get some of that fancy detailing tape, hopefully it sticks better to rubber than masking tape.

Looks good but personally think a brighter red would be nicer, looks very brown in pics.
As long as you like it.

Looks a decent job but I would of gone for a proper red. I think black would of been nicer abc more of a safe option but it looks ok IMO

I think it looks pretty good.
I know it's been said over and over again but it needs silver wheels now definitely!
Think it will look quite classy then

Gritt I can't even imagine getting your tax reminder form through every year!
Tbh I did want it brighter, but this looks a bit more classy imo, not as 'in your face'. It looks almost black when wet.
This is the other dye I may try next time:

As you can see, the red is very red indeed.

Better quality pics are needed though!

I like it. I'll wait for higher res pics til I decide but I think it could be a bit brighter. But you're doing another coat anyway!

Looks too dark. Can't you bleach it first?
And get them wheels changed back!
