Thought his F1 days were over!
I'm not a huge Massa fan, but he'll certainly do a job for a lesser team.

I dont like Perez anyway... wonder where he will go though.
Could take his money off to Lotus?
It's likely to be Maldanado or Hulkenberg sitting next to Grosjean.
Although there's a rumour that Maldonado might get a seat at Sauber if he doesn't join Lotus, if he doesn't then perhaps Sauber might take Perez back.

I'm hoping for DiResta to be out, Maldonado and Sutil at FI.
Grosjean and Hulk Lotus
Perez and Magnussen at McLaren with JB retiring
Don't care / don't care about Sauber
Lotus Elise 111R
Impreza WRX STi

Be interesting to see how Magnussen does, by all accounts hes rapid, JB wont like it if he starts beating him
Cant see Sauber taking Perez back though, they have that Serguy Sirotkin coming in and i can see them taking Maldonaldo as they arent exactly flash with cash (and tbf, hes pretty quick, just a little rash )
Hulk will go to Lotus as apparently their deal with Quantum is all tied up so they dont need PDSVA's money.
Perez will be out of a seat i reckon unless he can wangle his way back in to Sauber, he does have that cash from that Mexican telecommunications company money behind him, not sure how it compares to what Maldonaldo brings.
Got a feeling Di Resta might have done enough unfortunately.

Shouldn't be too difficult.

Why are you all anti di resta? Apart from the fact he's a kilt wearing scotch man?

He's even more boring than JB, at least whilst Jenson isn't all that exciting to watch, he has a personality. He's like Andy Murray on horse tranquilisers

Typical Scot. Always in a mood. Thinks the world owes him something as well.

So you thought "stepped noses" were ugly...
2014 F1 brings you...the pinocchio nose
quote: The rules for next season require a high chassis of 525mm and a low nose tip at 185mm.
But the regulations only demand a relatively small nose tip cross-section, and teams will want to minimise the width of this area to improve air flow under the chassis.
That raises the prospect of slender, drooping nose tip extensions to meet minimum rules requirements for this section, protruding from a higher, more bulky, section that will pass crash tests and fit teams' aerodynamic needs.
While not all teams are believed to be heading down this design route, it is understood that several leading outfits believe it is the best solution.

Autosport reported the other day that the deal still hasn't been finalised, if true then i wonder if Quantum are getting cold feet? Would cause issues if they decide to pull out

If they pulled out they'd have no choice but to go for Maldonaldo, which would suck

So according to Kai Ebel, Michael Schumacher told him that Lotus asked if we would fancy driving for them, and he said no.
Hulkenburg has turned down an offer from Lotus to drive the final 2 races for them.
And apparently, according to one reporter Heiki Kovalinen will replace Raikonnen for the final 2 races.
Silly season.

Seems very harsh. They wanted him as he was young, one for the future, and did well previously, so they give him a shit car, then tel him he's surplus? Hardly like Jenson was amazing, either.

The Mclaren situation with their drivers is very odd. One minute they say "no drivers signed for 2014", then they say only Jenson has signed, Perez reveals he is leaving via Twitter which forces the first official confirmation of him leaving from Mclaren. Dodgy goings on.

Does seem a bit odd, almost like Perez knew they were either lining the other guy up or he just wasn't in their plans for next year.
Button is going to have to up his game next year.

Next year will be Buttons last in F1, shit will hit the fan at Ferrari and Alonso will be at McLaren for 2015.
Supposedly McLaren have been going over the data and don't believe Perez will ever be as quick as Button, which sort of tells you all you need to know. Evidence must be pretty compelling to ditch the guy after 1 season.

Button is proper bigging up this Honda engine for 2015 though, like hes guaranteed a seat there, he hasnt even got next season officially confirmed yet
Never rated Perez, Mclaren made a massive boob replacing Lewis with him. Extremely average. One good race in 6/7

Can't help but think McLaren only signed him so Ferrari couldn't. He had a few eye catching results in the Sauber and all the signs were that he would get Massas seat, who was doing horribly at the time.

Kova rumoured to be filling in for Raikkonen for final 2 rounds, Hulkenberg turned down Lotus' offer and apparently they're overlooking their reserve driver Valsecchi.

FWIW its a shame they are overlooking Valsecchi, whats the point in having a reserve driver if when the moment comes that you need him, you just go get someone else? I wanted Ferrari to finish 4th but fuck it, Lotus can GTF.
