or.
get a batterey box and move it to the rear of the car behind passenger seat

a 1.6 16v will not 'kill' a vtr by any strecth of the imagination

it is in fact quite close with the vtr having the advantage on the bands and the corsa having a slight straight line advantage

Yes you will kill a VTR off the lights and all the way through.

With coilovers you will be better around bends.

0-60 isnt a very good judgement of a cars acceleration

0-100 is the one ur after and both cars have a similar time for that (both in 30's)

ive also noticed a few 1.6 16v owners steadily creeping the 0-60 time for that engine down somewhat

most places say above 9 secs, but ive been watchin ppl on here go from 9.5's to 8.7's

i beg 2 differ oliver on paper the 2 cars are very close

it would be down to start and the vtr owner would have to get a very very bad start to be 'killed'

9.5 is what websites like parkers state, and everyone with half an ounce of sense knows that those figures are BS. When i had my corsa, it could do 0-60 in 8.7 seconds. enough said. Like you say though, 0-60 isnt a good way of judging performance in a straight line. However, the corsa is faster than a VTR in all parts of acceleration and top end speed, standard for standard.

faster yes but not by much

to say it'd kill it is a slight exaggeration

my mate's old vtr always used to stick with another m8s corsa gsi, acceleration wise it was always quite even
