Yeah you either love them or hate them, mostly down to the rear spoiler

Yeah, but I don't like the front either. Don't know why though
I've fallen for the Gold turbo big time, time for quotes I think

I paid £6,500 for my Coupe 2.2 16v with 40k miles, X-reg 2000, spoiler, Irmscher Exhaust, I paid an extra £300 quid for a 3 year Network Q warranty and £170 quid for tax, so £6970.
I like my car, lovely to drive and smooth, with standard 16's its very bland, deffo needs 18's at least, unless you get a Turbo or SE and you have the standard 17's which look bigger than they actually are.
Lots of car for not a lot of money, and to boot its a Vauxhall.

Ojc, did you test drive a 1.8 before buying your 2.2?
I was just wondering if there is much of a difference.

OK, so that was £6,500 for a 2.2 on an X plate
Did you look at what they were going for as a private sale?

Cheaper private sale but then you don't get Network Q and I did'nt want a car without a warranty.

This is the black one from classifieds - http://www.corsasport.co.uk/board/viewthread.php?tid=276587
I like the look of it but its only the 1.8 & has cloth seats Its older than the gold Turbo too
And for that one the quotes were...

Odd, its more to insure a car with a roof? Surely thats not right?
Ian? You had a coupe turbo & then a convertible turbo?

When I was getting quotes for different types of Astra, Tesco wanted £200 more for an SRI turbo over the GSI

Whats the betting that the RAC quote for £670 is a mistake?
How are you finding the 1.8? Nippy enough?

Yeah hardly any difference between 1.8 and 2.2 except past 80mph which is breaking the speed limit so pointless really
Ian had a SE2 2.2 16v then a Cabriolet Turbo.

I use to drive the 1.8 Convertible and found it ok for a while but it might be worth going for the turbo if you can.
I had a Corsa XE before that so I think thats why I found it a little boring after a while.

To be honest I wouldn't wanna be going that fast in it anyway
1.8 convertible seems my best option. Cost a bit more to buy, but that one on Ebay is quite reasonable I think

Its gonna cost me roughly an extra 1K for the car (if a coupe) & an extra 1k to insure

Didn't have any problems with my roof or the car at all for that matter.
If its gonna cost you that much more just for the turbo then maybe the 1.8 would be best. Anyway a convertible is more about posing in than going fast
