Yes granted, by todays standards thats not 'that' much outright grunt.

But put it in a car that has the grip/handling/braking etc etc and its a formula that works and is very effective.

My only problem with 300BHP LET corsas, granting once rolling they are seriously quick but getting the power down in real life situations etc etc and actually making use of it in a FWD chassis is difficult imo. I had enough problems in a 210/230 ibiza Cupra.

dont think i could go back to turbo and FWD now, RWD maybe when i learn how to drive

i agree, theres no way i can touch 4wd launches, although im not far behind and get loads of grip towards the end of 2nd then total power to the road in 3rd upwards. there are ways and means of helping such as lsd, and adjusting boost per gear on an apexi, it all helps.

Sounds good

My cupra just used to dump a shit load of torque early in the rev range, cue spinning tyres and no forward movement. The VRS was a bit better at putting the power down, but again standard starts not great and completely forget about it in the wet.

I bet its pretty quick through the gears though. Wouldn't fancy driving one hard on a windy road though!

As for the original post...wrx STI's aint all that anyways. I wouldn't be surprised if a vectra vxr held its own.

Aint all that in what respect please, elaborate and justify your comment instead of just looking like a fool. thank you.

Ain't all that compared to a car that doesn't understeer like a pig perhaps?

TBH I get bored having to brake so early when I follow them, then its understeer city going around anything more than a mild corner

The impreza is a good handling car, not a great one (although as mentioned easy to improve with good geometry set up and not a lot of money).

I think the huge amounts of grip that this car has lets it get away with the fact that the handling isnt the best.

OJC has seen one.

I have about 3 around my area now, including one parked outside my mums..

Im obviously blind though and Corsasport people are always right, never wrong........ It was a South East dealer special edition.

Cyber - Its around 8 min 30, im trying to confirm or deny that, so will come back to you. Was done in the Astra OPC (European version) by a proffessional driver.
