Just for the record my 125 bhp 1.6 16v is pretty much level with 106 gti's/vts's in a race, they do pull on me very very slightly....

Put it this way, if my mate has his gf in his car who is tiny about 7 stone, then its dead level on the duel carraigeway...

To be fair mines kinda like Robs but i got de-cat and janspeed zorst manifold . . . I've not yet come across a Vts(yet) But ive been in one, and to me they seem flat compared to wot mine pulls like . . . and as for vtr's there great to abuse

I agree with the VTR abuse love it...

I need a manifold, got a full system then standard manifold, it cant be doing much good Wanna get this smoking sorted though sick of people telling me its broke

lmao honestly smoke really does suck, but then again i suppose u can say " I jus smoked a vtr " Literally (lame ?) lol

The exhaust manifold has made a difference tbh, but it was still holding back - so i looked everywhere ... the timing was a notch out !!! So i sorted it today and its now awsome (H)

Smoke is bad tbh at any revs lmao

Plus my other when i had the rev limiter raised, was awsome. But with the normal limiter its abit toooo quick thru the gears with the DBilas on (Dunno if u ave noticed ) Jus as its about to scream and pull away - Pop pop pop limiter Lol

Yeah lol mates who have drove it said that im used to it, just hoping the bill for the engine isnt excesive and hoping its just valve stem seals and nothing else

Lets hope its jus the valve stem oil seals, quite cheap - but a proper b4stard job tbh - thats wot putting me off changing the cams over

Reading this make me have second thoughts about gettin a Xe...I wont to have abit of power but if it cant beat a paxo what can it beat or am i under estimating the Vts

even my golf diesel gives an xe a run.not as quick as people think it's the old small car feels quick thing.
