Thanks

Also while its looking a bit like it is, im swapping all the LED's for blue ones and swapping dials for my white lockwood's.

Just unsure on the needle colour. I bought some orange airfix paint for them, but im not sure now. White needles on white dials would be a bit hard to see at night, wanted them blue, but that would be hard too. and black would be impossible pretty much. So orange seems easiest option. Dont know though

Decided to paint roof rails, since bumper care-ing them is getting silly.
Started sanding them down and getting all the top coat stuff off, didnt realise they were metal till i went to sand them.

All sanded down to the metal -

Painted with etch primer -

Got some colour on them -

Laquered them up and then decided to fit them today.

Before -

During - inc crap underneath them

After -

As some people will no doubt say, the finish on them isnt great, but tbh i didnt want them shinier than the car, and i dont think they look that bad. Not much difference from before, but saves bumper care-ing them

As for the car being so dirty, that would be due to the fact this house in the background -

Now looks like this -

No point cleaning it, will only be covered again

Said no point cleaning it, but i just couldnt face it being dirty any longer. So treated it to a wash, clay, polish (super resin and ultra deep shine), full clean inside and out

Came up really shiney after using the Ultra deep shine, really impressed with it took a couple of pics. Thats all.

Shineeeeeeeeee -

Lovely. I take it your insurance company has allowed you to lower and but a back box on then?

Looks very very tidy and nice and subtle.

I had a second set so wasnt too bad for me, but getting them off can be a bit gay since its easy to break the clips.
Other than that, they just slide off with a bit of persuasion from the rear of the rails.
Putting them back is simple as, just line them up and give the clips a 'gentle yet firm' tap and they pop straight in
