If there is a what car for should I get for 5 grand then suggest whatever. If someone comes on and says What is better Corsa 1.5td or Corsa 1.6, then suggest either the 1.5td or the 1.6.
If they are asking between 2 different Corsas then they are likely to have already decided they want a Corsa. Not a 106 GTi/Saxo VTS. So when people suggest them on a corsa site it will give them the idea that Corsas are a really bad car.
At the end of the day, they may sign up on here cos they have decided to get a corsa and then see what opinions are from people on a Corsa site, cos they should know.
That's my opinion anyway.

I think the forum is healthy. It has certainly improved. What we need are the enthusiasts on here to come to meets and events, as this is where it really matters.
I think it's also a bit stupid answering questions without reading the question. If someone answers a question "What Corsa should I buy?" with the answer of some other car that isn't a Corsa, that person is clearly a moron who cannot read.
I enjoy reading about other cars on here, I like all the project threads that get posted up, it's relevent and interesting material for myself and fellow car enthusiasts.
We could do with a little less bitchyness, but that is probably asking a bit too much. This is the internet...

i agree with many of the statements made but agree if you cant give constructive critism on things dont critisize atall imo i dont need to be told this french tin can or this german frankfurt is faster and better than a corsa if i really wanted to know stuff irrelevant to corsas or the vauxhall brand i would go elsewhere

nothing needs to be changed, it has nothing to do with mavs original point opf the thread at all, we dont need more sub forums for more bollocks you cant have a sub forum to just talk abouts corsa's there will be fuck all in there
all the tech questions are in H&M and all the projects are in projects

This isn't a structural concern, or anything to do with what things are called.
This is about people not messing threads up with posts which are made without any thought.

lots of people start with corsa's as their first cars, then once insurance etc starts to go down, most people move on to better cars.............
This site is a busy place so lots of people stay, despite not owning corsa's anymore and just pass their advice and experience of different cars on.
can only be a good thing imo, although some people get on their high horse and take the piss!
