Yes ben, but have you raced a 106 GTi? You'll get thrashed.

It's interesting when people say they beat an impreza. People forget how many different power variations there are between models. I can't see an XE corsa beating mine somehow
Maybe an LET would in a straight line, but certainly not after the first corner, and if we threw rain/wet into the equation then i'll just be waving bye bye

Judging by your bhp/torque figure loafofbrett, I'd of thought u'd beat one easily in a straight line?

Maybe a standard one, just most people who have done an LET would get the evo software etc and be running 300bhpish wouldnt they? Power to weight they'd win (if they could get traction).

I reckon a LET would have it unless it was completely standard. just down to how little they weigh and the power they have. not from a standing start or round corners mind
XE Corsa wouldn't stand a chance though, thats just crazy talk

From a standing start you woud leave them for dead. Its from a rolling start that a LET (running phase 2 or something) would be quick in a straight line. As you said, the power/weight ratio on a Nova would be silly.

I am confident I would take them on any corner tho I just keep my foot down whilst the corsa/nova goes into the wall

Im not saying there slow by no means. Its just most people that drive them have 'all the gear and no idea' and in some cases 'not much gear and absolutely no idea' lol
