£27m is his buyout clause, we arent signing him for £27m cash though and that has been the sticking point and why its taken so long.

Benitez is said to be dissapointed with whats coming through from the academy...hence the leaving of Steve Heighway (Acadamy Director)...

Think he want better players in the youth ranks to possibly come through..

more or less all tied up now.

Athletico confirming that Garcia will be their player in the next day or so. And a deal has been struck for Torres and he has returned early from his holiday to tie the last details up and have a medical with us around the middle of the week.

can't wait to see him signing on the dotted line now, hope people give him a chance to settle in though, alot of pressure to perform as comfortably the most expensive striker/player in our clubs history
