That's it for popular ones, there's obviously others, but you don't see them so much now.

yes its a "mod" but if u put it on a corsa then it looks like a CORSA GSI so how can u say its a mod to dislike? A gsi kit on a tigra yeah. But essentialy its a mod, but its just like making a pre 97 car a post 97 car and saying its a "mod"
i disagree on the count technicaly its standard your just swopping bits

Adding anything that wasnt on the car from the factory standard, i would of thought whether its something from another corsa or not?
Modify usually means make something diffrent from its original form.
Sticking a gsi kit on a say 1 litre corsa which wasnt meant to have one means its been modified ?

but why put a GSi kit on a 1.2 Corsa?
Like a fake cossie. Cossie looks with a sewing machine motor under the bonnet.
Not saying GSi's are fast but replicas suck ass.

i thought you wouldnt have to tell your insurance because you've put parts onto a vauxhall which have come from another vauxhall?(vauxhall genuine parts)
everything whats on mine is vauxhall apart from the springs which i have told my insurance about.

By putting a GSi kit on a non GSi corsa, you are making the car more tempting to thieves. eg if you had a 1.2 Corsa nicked and the insurance found it with a GSi kit fitted then it is modified from that of a standard 1.2 Corsa.
Insurance compaines aint daft and they probably wouldn't pay out.

True, mines mostly peugeot 306 bits however it looks nothing like what it would have rolled out the factory like, these bits still have to be insured as said as the car didn't come out of the factory looking like that (taken from a later phase so its clear to see really if you know an ounce about 306's) The car has been modified, modified to look differently, its still classed as a modification no if's or buts.
