no .. well i dont think so , i was going too but then im not wanting to go over 350bhp tbh and as far as i know there not really needed unless going for 400 or more , dont get me wrong i know they would prob be a benefit but it gives me a reason not to go power chaseing .. itl be on a standard turbo for the time being anyway.

what you opinion on the squirters?

anything to keep pistons and stuff cool is, well, cool in my book.

safety first. bottom end built to take 500+bhp will be happy as the man mobby paid for not doing a conversion when ran at 350.

engine out, rude not to is the way i see it.

yes i keep thinking that too . do you know what squirters to get? ie part number? there some 1.7 diesel ones are they not?

mine are the really old way of doing it. some bmw thing or something. i have to ghetto drill through bearings. there was/is a guide on migweb or vaux sport.

suppose it depends how much it will cost to get done. i had mine done by machine shop that bored the block out. cost me an extra 30 quid or something. was about 7 years ago that though.

i might fish the quide out , ive got a block getting picked up monday to be bored ii might give them that guide and say off you pop ,, im assumeing the standard oil pump will be still upto the job ,as you would of thought , more oil supply is less pressure. .. cant be arsed with a z20 one and bodgeing a pickup pipe tbh

i have c20let oil pump. pressure is spot on with it.

so good so far. its ran them squirters and c20let oil pump for 6 odd years now. havent noticed a problem with oil pressure even if everyone tells you that you need a z20let pump. as its always the way.

i have just had the 1.7 td squirters fitted, just took the guide to the machine shop and they copied it. I think lets should of had them fitted from standard.

not much of an update but thought id do some lightening on the front end so took the engine and box out satuday for the rebuild , its all stripped now and at the engineers.

got my engine bits back from the engineers yesterday so i suppose i had to start doing something again ,

1 re-bored block with blue mould


some squirters

got bored there so i left it

why would i want a blue block then fly bike? mine is red, with coloured patches from past oil leaks. looks awesome. (ps, i painted it red in 2002 thats why its red not black)
