you wont get caught, apple are letting people do this! its the easiest and quickest way of clearing all stock before the new one comes out which u wont be able to do this with, then suddenly the same thing will happen when the 3rd gen is ready for release

Right...
Looks like i may of missed out on this? but I lost my nokia N70 phone last night on the piss... so I need a new phone!
Will this still work in an o2 store?
I was in a o2 store today and they had all the iphones there - the bloke acted a bit sheepish when I asked him about it
I'm a bit like pow, don't want to walk into the store, hand over my credit card and then get billed each month or anything...
Hmm, maybe I'll take cash and put bogus details on the form.

why can't i pay with cash?
I see on o2 site it's sold out, but in the stores will the 8 gb still be in stock?
For those that have done it, what do you do...
- Walk into o2. I'd like to buy a 8gb iphone please. Ok certainly here's one, £169 please... (Do you have to put any details down anywhere? name / address?) ... Don't forget to activate it at home on itunes ! bye
and walk out the door with iphone? or is there more in the middle?
Considering today just to get a new orange sim with my number moved across, required me to fill in forms - I can't help think they won't let you get away with this.

You can't enter into a contract unless you sign a form (either by hand, or indicate that you agree to the terms on an electronic form). Using a credit card in store doesn't mean they can take more money from it.

yeh but i just can't see you don't have to fill in your details somewhere / sign something...
As I just said, today just to move my sim number to a new sim required me to fill in a form and sign it... if you have to sign anything then it may have a clause in it.

You don't sign anything when you're in a shop - not with chip and pin.
I've not done this, but you're worrying too much - have you been through the links posted earlier in the thread?

Was it £169 then? Or do you have to apply for £100 cashback?

Hah the chap who was in the o2 today, seemed to be acting v.'I can't be arsed' - I'm gonna get this done tommorrow morning
You should see the phone Im using at the moment! I went into orange to get my number put on a new sim, they said 'you can't have a new sim unless you buy a hand set'... so i said 'whats the cheapest hand set you have?'
£4.99! not £4.99 + contact... no... £4.99 Pay as you go
I laughed and said 'whats the catch?' - then one of them turned around to me and said 'the catch is, it's 1 down for a pocket calculator in it's functionality' it's such crap.

If you used Ziphone to unlock it then you want to select unlock+jailbreak when you run the software.
Why does everything Apple have such gay names though. Jailbreak FFS
