Its a right bitch to fit though, and involves cutting away inner arches. Not that i'm not up for a challenge or owt, but lets get winter out of the way first! I'm fed up of getting cold and wet on the bike!

I might have to look into it then if its been done?

Might take the easy option and do a Van Aaken turbo conversion on this engine or get a Punto 75 engine (same block and head just multi-point injection) do a bit of head work and stick some bike throttle bodies on? But thats something to do in the future i think

tbh honest the 1.2 8v fire engine out a punto is just as fun had a lightend fly on mines with the 1.1 box and ported and polished head and mines flew for what it was like ended up making a straight thru with twin dtm's at the back lol it was great fun all you'll need to fit the 1.2 is a 10mm spacer for the downpipe and the 1.1 crank sensor been there done it

I'm not an expect on tyres so what are the chances of the tyre retracting back and leaving it hanging on the rim again?

once its in the well it wont, due to the air pressure forcing the bead into the well.

alls the flame/spray did was rapidly fill the tyre and force he bead into this well.

i'm actaully decided to get one myself...

been reading about engine conversions on these and most straight forward conversion is to fit a 1.2 punto 60 engine.. uget 8 more bhp and 12 more torque iirc. u only need head and block to do so... also u can get some crazy bhp out of them ... fit straight through exhaust, vernier puller, cold air intake...i'd guess remapr will help too...

hope this helped..
oh also ther eis a fiat forum i found very good

Looking goood matey.

Uno trubo engine require bulk head mods too make them fit also. The 1.2 75 is the easiest bolt in and out job. Few mods and van aaken turbo kit 9if you can source one) and your onto a little pocket rocket that'll shock a fair few people

Id rather get the 1.4 16v Panda engine and turbo that. It'll be lighter + alot less work to fit

Update 16/11/08

Pics as requested. My driveway is uneven so the car is a little lower than it looks in pics.
