He owned a McLaren - Why didn't you talk to him regardless?

Saying that, would you even be insured to work on half his cars?

That's what I was talking to him about anyway - finding out whether he had tracked it at all etc. Up close it's annihilated!

I'm insured up to £1million, but could get that changed if needs be

Not that I really care what you think but I would like to educate you on the matter.

If a £40k+ as new car is not a 'real car'?.. Does that mean an M3 is not a 'real car' ? Also if the Boxster is not a 'Real' Car then neither is the 911 as about 70-80% of the car is identical.. The Boxster actually handles BETTER than the 911 (because the engine is in the 'right' place). Personally I'd rather have a 911 because of the heritage (and I am about to buy one) but the Boxster is arguably a better drivers car.

Maybe you should actually drive one before you make your uneducated statements based on "what your mate down the pub said"..

If you think a Boxster is shit then you'd hate a 911.. And you'd probably be better off going back to the 1.25 Fiesta.

What dont you like about the 996? Scuttle shake? I'm definitely NOT getting rag-top 996 because I'm not a big fan of Rag-tops but the Boxster is just so precise, the only thing that pisses me off is the lack of cabin space, I'm 6'2" and most of that is in my legs, due to the engine being in the middle you can't but the seat back very far so its a bit cramped.. It doesnt feel so bad with the roof down though.

A Zeintop roof came up on eBay just after I bought the car and I wish I had bought it, I'd probably have kept it and sourced a Carrera S engine.
