Only a little update, wasnt in work till 10.30 so got up early and decided to make a start on my handles
Only got one of them done, but will get the other done tomorrow
Doesnt look too bad

Also fitted chrome handle, door pin and the painted interior handle out of V947.....although in my wisdom i forgot this one has electric windows So i need to spray up the electric window cover bit, tomorrow.

Thats all, dinner break nearly over, back to work

Interior handles were out of V947. I couldnt be bothered to re-do them or afford spray some new ones up so just put them in for the sake of it. I might reconsider what i do with the ones i took out.

Finished handles off yesterday before work.

And interior

Going to get an airfix triangle to put on here

Dials

Fixed radio button

Was going to fit my Combo wiper stalk because it has no rear wash

But it also has no intermittent wipe So fucked that idea off Ill have to find me an Omega one instead.

Thanks
The chrome ones are easy to do, but fiddly as fuck. I got so fed up trying to hook the door catch rod into the loop on the back of the chrome handle, after 15 minutes of trying nicely i just yanked it in an 'i dont care effort'................and it hooked in
Was going to finish off the interior today and clean out all my crap, but weather put a halt on them proceedings

so, nipped to the scrappy as they had recently had an Omega go in, but surprise surprise, the bit i wanted was gone
So had a browse round Veccy's, nothing really interesting.
Went back to a couple of Combo's and found one which had intermittent wipe All the others i looked at didnt have it.

Fitted that

Hands up who still has PVS mud on their car.............

Going to be lowering the car next, so here is a before picture of the rear for future reference

Set about getting the dirt out of my arches so i could re-underseal them

Clumps of mud from PVS

Got rear shock out

All cleaned up

Fair bit of dirt

Other one done too

Wire brushed drums and masked them up

Underseal I got it EVERYWHERE Even in my hair

All done

Painted drums up

Thats all for now, next up Cav rear ARB and brake hoses. Then lowered rear suspension

Well, finally i have some progress to update about
Inbetween the rain

volunteering at Race For Life

and working full time, i managed to finally get my cav rear arb fitted

also got my new spax rears in

Hadnt long been dropped down at this point, so didnt look to have changed much.

Another issue

Braided hoses were also fitted at some point above

So, onto the fronts now. Going to do the same, clean, underseal and hammerite what needs be, then fit brakes and hoses, front arb and coils
Still covered in PVS mud

Done

Cleaned and masked up

Done

Sills done too, ready to fit skirts later

As she stands

Out with the old

and soon to be in with the new
Discs and pads had seen better days

All for now Marc

Not much in terms of pictures, but fitted my 24mm front ARB

And got the 2.0 brakes on too, mintex pads, brembo grooved and vented discs.
Also fitted my spax RSX coilovers, but ive built them up wrong, so ill be taking them back out to redo correctly. Live and learn

Time for a wee update.
Had a few issues with the coilovers, but you know, live and learn.
So big thanks to Ste L, Phil, Daveskater and everyone else for your help and time x
Figured the set up was like this -

Bit of help from my lovely assistant, inc hat

Fitted strut brace too

dropped down, bit too low for me, wouldnt get off my own drive this low

So decided to raise it up a bit, assistant again

Done -

Took the helper springs out, so er, what to do with them?
Pen pots of course

Brakes bled

Snapped both rear bleed nipples
Time for new ones.

I think it was a blessing in disguise though....

Passenger was even worse

All done

All beld too Tested her out, brakes are all good, ride is a bit bumpy.
Got a rubbing noise when goign straight and full right lock. I think i found the issue though - braided hose on passenger wheel touches the wheel So ill sort that.
Getting camber and exhaust sorted out soon

Antoher small update.
Tried to get a picture next to gf's car, didnt really work..

I spy with my little 'i'

Hlaf way through fitting -

Done -

Also dug out another box i recognised

Fitted them, but need to have a slight tinker with them as it was too dark when i had finished
Other than that, fitted my side reps also. I put my dark smoked ones on - which i love - but they just look wrong i think They look like a random black button on the side.
So found my light smoked ones instead, it looks a bit better but im still not sure. Need orange bulbs with the light smoked ones.
Pics of that later.
Thats all for now
