Should have turned the indicator off... the power you'd have saved would have neeted you 111mph.

lol i meant 110 indicating on the speedo had more to give, was in 4th gear and not on the limiter... how un reliable the car was but how i love it

Clocks - 120mph in a 1.4 8v Corsa
110mph in my Y20DTH Astra

Other than that, on a track I got 165mph in 911 Turbo, again clocks, but I assume they are more accurate?

some utter SHITE being posted in here

some cars must rev to 10000rpm and have very low gearing

170 in an S2000.....
170 in a ''stage3'' cossie on a D road... So that must have been a rally car or tractor?! D roads are basically non-existant, 2 ruts etc etc

Edit - I dont even think there is a class D road is there :/

K1 doesn't have the outright power.
No Japanese sports bikes do over 184mph anymore, despite what a speedo says. AS said, its an agreement between manufactures,

Pre 2002 bikes, Hyabusa, yes, 1000cc Sports bikes, no chance.

And NO jap bike is quicker than an F4R MV Augusta, and thats been trapped absolutly flat out at 187. And u'll find top end an MV pulls on a jap sportbike.

600's are just rev happy machines, gimmie a lower powered Twin or Triple any day

This is where your wrong. Ill just throw it out there that im a motorcycle technician by trade and have been involved in several race teams.

Stop blabbing on about the f4, its just a gixxer thou engine thats been tuned up and stuck in an mv frame - its nothing special.

All the thou's have enough power to push 190mph, the speedos stop at 184 but the revs carry on rising which clearly shows the bikes are still accelerating.

Gentlemans agreement my arse - japan had a gentlemans agreement in the 90's not to produce a car with over 276bhp but most were over 300bhp anyway... the japs are not all men of their words you know.

As for twins and triples, triples are shit... triumph are shit. twins are good, aprilia make the best road bike money can buy.
