Got a new arm on its way, first thing is to sort that out, ive got a couple of lads coming to look at it tonight, both have had many LET conversions. I cant afford to send it to some robbing bastards tbf willay, otherwise i would, but ive litterally run out of funds to spend on it for now

Its prolly something so simple, I always found it was either the loom or some kind of sensor

if ther is too much fuel pressure can you not just fit a after market fuel pressure regulator and set the fuel pressure to what its suposed to be?

I have no experience of LET's but im sure I remember reading that if your using an XE inlet cam you haev to slightly retard the timing

the inlet cam needs to be retarded by between 5-7 degrees mate.
Has yours had this done?
did you fit the cam or was it already done?
does the engine turn over mike or nothing at all?

Already fitted, im not sure where the camshaft is, but ive timed the plullies up how theyre meant to be so how much is 5-7 degrees? 1 toth? 2 teeth?

Idealy you need a vernier pulley. It's not NEEDED as such, but for best power it is. Will run fine on standard markings or retarded by 1 tooth. But best to get a vernier pulley for it.

Its running again, but still lumpy as shite, and misses, adding throttle just stalls it.

it might be running lumpy due to the inlet cam mate

have tried retarding it a tooth, ran worse
the thing is it was running faultless other than abit of hesitation, due to a fooked dizzy. this is whats so frustrating, i know it has been running fine, and not knowing whats causing it is a major ball ache, id rather it be something serious and know what was wrong with it.
going to do a compression test, im hoping ive burnt a valve out of something.

Yes ive tried 4, my originall was shagged, then put a new one on, which then smashed 2 rotor arms becuase the shaft was bent so now ive got a new whole unit with new arm, leads are fine, all sparking fine, plugs are new.

it was just the shaft that goes from the cam shaft to the arm, in the metal housing with the 3 pin plug on it. like i said a compression test will reveal all

Ive taken it to a place becuase i gave up on searching, and tbf it came back worse than it went. (lesson learnt) i have been very tempted to give up completely, but then i cant justify wasting all that time, effort, money etc.
