Update time Quite abit gone on / going on!

The speedlines were causing me problems for some reason, never do for anyone else, just me! lol. The front was raised to this height, and it still rubbed on arches as I had to space them out.

So I sacked them off and got some Cesaros Got them done gloss black

And four new proxes

Got a set of centre caps brand new off ebay and got them done gloss black too.

Got a silver top for the gearstick from a Vectra

Painted my Engine cover Graphite Grey and refitted that.

Repainted the smooth fuel flap as it was all chipped on the edge from opening it. Needs flatting and polishing still though!

When I removed the rear arches a few months back, I was greeted with a nice spot of rot lol. Was well f**ked off! So it's been in the bodyshop all week getting that cut out/welded up and painted. Also got a post 97 bumper painted up while it was in!

Before:

After: Got rid of the dint that was above arch while he was on with it. Sprayed whole rear quarter on drivers side.

Good colour match

He managed to keep the work behind the arch on the passeneger side, so it didn't really matter about the colour match on that side:

Quick pic to show Cesaro on front

So yeah, all solid now , lol, thank god! Was mega pissed off about the rot! Btw, I am still going for the red/black look on the gsi kit like the photoshop. But he said he would do rear bumper all red until I got rest of kit so it didn't look daft, and he wouldn't charge me when he does the black!

Need some post 97 mudflaps for the rear now.

Will get better pics when it's clean! lol

C+C welcome as always, good and bad!

you not considered the reps? stil a very good fit and no L pieces to loose,

also i think the black tops are a must as if your not gettin the gsi front colour matched then the black will make it alittle less obvious

sideskirts i mean

I've been thinking about the reps mate. But after speaking to the lad at the bodyshop who will be painting/fitting it for me, he said he wants to do it proper, with all the clips for the skirts on the sill etc. Not bonded on. And well I can't say fairer than that tbh! lol.

Gonna be a mission finding a set that have mounting lugs intact!

And yeah, that's the reason for the black lol, to hide the colour mis match!

dare i say it but a decent bodyshop should be able to mount them perfectly, shouldnt need an OEM part :-s that would worry me if a bodyshop told me that tbh

John: No, I meant that I asked him to bond them on when I get them, and he was like nah, I wanna do it right for you, I'll fasten them on properly with the clips (like a proper gsi). Said he didn't wanna bodge it for me. lol

And cheers sandsy. I wasn't sure on the wheels at first but love them now, spesh with centre caps! I'm loving the V6 mate!

Cheers Si, and Wolly, I didn't have centre caps when I got the wheels done, and they looked pants! So I decided to get the centres. I think they look alot better! Mudflaps tomorrow!
