you must of invested a fair bit to get it to the standard its at? so a slap of wax to protect it now and then wouldnt hurt, or is it the sleeper dirty look you like?

the important part of the car, is what makes it go. not the body panels etc. that bit gets looked after. the rest just has bits of old tyre stuck to it from when it was mapped and climbed out the rollers.
i wash it when i cant see out the back window. until then it remains dirty.

exactly. if it looks dirty, its not really an issue. its a corsa at the end of the day. 99% of people that like cars hate corsas so who cares if its clean as nobody will be paying any attention to it apart from other corsa owners.

People are getting it wrong here, the products don't tend to add to the shine, its the technique that does that. The products give durability, so less effort is required later on to get that same shine. Like Blukoo said about one of his brothers clients, they spent £1000+ on a full detail and protection, so for the following 6 months he only has to snowfoam the car to keep it clean!
Ive going to use some Dodo juice polish then wax tomorrow, which I know should last about 3 months, using stuff from halfords (turtle wax polishing wax or something) at most it lasts a month!

Bonkers.
This is my thoughts exacally.
I've never understood why people would spend so much money doing bits and pieces on a car which is worth very little when sold. It's a different story if you keep the car for several years.

grr GTFO. I don't understand this stupid mentality. If what you say is right then this site shouldn't exist. What's the resale value of my car got to do with cleanng it??

what a thread.
People clean their cars for satisfaction. If they want the knowledge that they used quality products on the car whilst cleaning it (regardless of price) then let them be.
If its not your cup of tea to spend loads on cleaning your car and a bucket and sponge suffices, then thats your satisfaction.
