Disagree....gained a bit of respect imo. Quite a few of my work mates were at the game, and they thought it was awesome.

I thought he was funny at the end. Didn't seem riled, wasn't being a wanker, actually had a bit of humour to it!

Man Utd were fecking toss. Absolute toss.

Irrespective of whether they beat Arsenal yesterday they will not win the league, and they will definetly not win the league by getting 2 spawny goals like they did yesterday week in week out.

Other than those 2 goals I can't recall Almunia actually having a save to make other than when Arsenal started pushing forward for an equaliser at the end leaving massive gaps.

And what a fecking nob Berbatov looked with that shit shot

tbh if arsenals players are going to get caught diving again they dont have a leg to stand on.

Dont quite see why they sent him to the stands at the end though. Fucking funny though

I don't defend united players when they dive, nani does it, rooney does, and so did ronaldo, there is no excuse for it. But for 2 arsenal players to clearly dive 3 days after all this with heather mills diving against celtic is unreal

What I don't get is that Eduardo is set for a 2 match ban, but then because Eboue did it and got booked, that will just be a yellow card. Any other offense doesn't change in regards to where you are on the pitch or weather you got caught at the time!

Certain areas united played well, i didn't think arsenal ran all over us, the 5 in midfield contained them, other than diaby, and did well, arsenal didn't really have many shots either?

I think foster only made one or two saves

Giggs cost us a hell of a lot of moves with all his poor passing and running in the match

Saying we won't win the league, maybe not, but we certainly are a stronger team than liverpool, and arsenal, chelsea are the main rivals for the league. I think united have a very good chance of winning it again, and that's not tinted glasses, that's because we've started better this season than in our last few seasons, and we typically get better as the season progresses

I still think we need someone else in though, an attacking mid or a striker

Id say 11 vs 11 we are fairly close, infact Id say we are pretty much even (given you were only slightly better than us last season and you lost your best player and we lost our 3rd ish best). You've a better subs bench than us though.

We have a squad, you have a starting 11

Which is what's costing you winning the league imo

We dont have the money to go out and spend on bench players like you do though!

With everyone being fit, our 6 outfield subs would look like the following....Skrtel/Agger, Aurelio/Insua, Benayoun/Riera, Babel, Lucas and one of N'Gog/Voronin/misc youngsters.

Thats not that bad tbh, we're being screwed at the minute because Skrtel and Agger are injured, plus so is Aquilani.

We really really need some backup for Torres though, and that is what screwed us last season.

I think Man utd won't win it this year, Chelsea look a lot stronger and have more special players. Essien is an immense player, better than any on Man Utd's options in a similiar role. Anelka & Drogba combined are better than Rooney + others. But going back to the midfield, you just have to look at the names;

Chelsea
Ballack
Lampard
Deco
Joe Cole
Essien

Compared to
Carrick
Fletcher
Valencia
Park
Anderson
Nani
Giggs

If Anderson & Nani were a bit further on and more developed & consistent and started producing week in week out it could be a different story.

Other than Ronaldo (who id class as a forward and not midfielder) United beat chavski to the title for the last few years with that midfield.

I'd still say Chelsea are favourites, getting on with it in quiet fashion, not looking overly brilliant all the tiem but they do have 12 points from 4 games.

As for our game, this sums it up perfectly

http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/philmcnulty/2009/08/sir_alex_ferguson_claims_he.html

Use a bit of common sense and that is never a penalty on rooney, and same could be said for the goal in the last seconds, whether they stopped cos they saw the flag im not sure but gallas wasnt interfering with play so surely the flag should come down? I dont know b ut seemed nonsensical to me! We were decent enough too, arshavin was brilliant, his strike the best of the season yet id say (?) and vermaelen was good. what diay was doing i dont know, very annoying but we did do well away from home after a midweek game so some positives! The whole bottle ting was hilarious

You could add Mikel, Malouda, Zhirkov and we have young Matic in our midfield as well.

African nations is going ot be a piss take but we should get through it ok.

In all seriousness though, footballers are fucking dumb. Everyone saw the Eduardo incident. ESPECIALLY Eboue and McGeady. Yet they both go and do this the following weekend! Fucking brain dead.
