No excuses, no need to make any, game didnt matter and the players played like it.

Aquilani got a good run out, Torres looked sharp when he came on, and Pacheco looked very good and very confident so hopefully thats the first of many games for him.

Lost to a late goal but thats life, doesnt matter really so WGAF.

Pacheco looked very bright and should have won a penalty.

He just looked so confident and was asking for the ball as soon as he came on, a lot of kids making their first ever first team appearance would shy away from getting the ball.

every game matters to a professional. that defeat and now last champions league game of the season will be hurting tonight. will you make a valiant comeback to form against arsenal this weekend though? i hope so tbh. keep it nice and tight from 7th place to 3rd place.

Of course it will matter to them they dont want to lose any games, I dont want to watch is lose any games - but in the grand scheme of things they will see the game for what it was.

nut if you start doing that, might aswell give up now for the season.

a winning mentality is a hard thing to find. accepting defeat as it doesnt matter kinda takes the edge off competing for something.

Do you realise that Rafa lost you that game? Take Mascharano off when he did meant nobody was tidying up in midfield and that shit right back of yours left his man unmarked for both goals.

Of course it matters, but he took Masch off to give a youngster a 15min run out. In a game where the result doesnt matter Im happy to see it happen.

Souness seems to think there's a proper danger Liverpool are about to go into meltdown

Glad to see some of our youngsters playing, felt a bit sorry for darby he looked a bit overwhelmed and made a couple of silly mistakes. Good to see aquilani get a good run and pacheco

As said, dissapointing to lose but it was a good opportunity to get some new faces in the team and torres getting 25 mins. I feel strangely confident for the arsenal game

Oh and Nic why do you care who's 3rd-7th in the PL?

Torres looked on top form when he came on, he'll be gunning for Arsenal on Sunday.

Ah see, that's why then. Because when you went left it took you down Shit Lane. You needed Champions League Avenue, which was right.

Better still, Arsenal will absolutely tear them a new arse, even with Torres/Aquilani/Gerrard etc. It will be epic.
