Tonight I was trying to take a pic for the photography challenge. Not sure if I'm pleased with this one or not, there might be another on a similar theme cropping up this week
PP: Duplicated layer twice, lowered brightness and increased contrast on middle layer, erased red button with 45px soft edged brush and smart sharpened; adjusted colour balance and saturation on background layer; erased area on foreground layer, applied surface blur.

Quite an easy one to explain this... It came in the post today Maybe also on the theme of light? Balloons are light (when filled with helium)... Hmm. Anywho, a nice quickie for today.
PP: Auto levels, auto colour, increased brightness.

After not playing it for ages, I finally got around to finishing NFS: Shift tonight. Thought today's pic could be a tribute to doing that.
PP: Auto levels, auto colour, duplicated layer, cut out game box, radial blur on top layer.

Went to Minster Lovell ruins today and took a whole load of pics (not the only person with this idea ) and this is one of my favourites. I like very much how sister dearest is looking up at the old weathered walls. (Actually she's looking at the moon but meh )
PP: Auto levels, auto colour, increased saturation, shadow/highlights, smart sharpen.

On the way to the petrol station I saw the light over this house and it looked awesome so decided I needed to walk over after I got back and get some pics. Because of the light difference between the sky and landscape I had a go at making it an HDR pic. Not quite as professional as most HDR's on here but I'm fairly pleased with it.
PP: Auto levels and auto colours on each image; Merged to HDR, shadows/highlights, increased saturation. I think that was all but I can't remember

Thought I might as well take a pic of these today. They were a gift from my nan because I am now VERY VERY OLD. So old in fact, that her other present was my senior citizen bus pass.
PP: None.

Was out and about tonight buying buckets and bread then decided to stop off here and try out an idea for a pic. More or less got what I wanted, would have been better if the weird raised verge fence thing wasn't there though.

Yo Faz I did try some like that but in the end preferred the one with the car in full view. http://img90.imageshack.us/img90/479/dsc0320y.jpg

Not sure if I'm entirely happy with how this came out, but here it is anyway. I think you can see the idea I was going for. Did try doing it with the natural blur from large aperture and fast shutter but it wasn't happening so had to Photoshop it.
PP: Auto levels, auto colour, increased saturation, duplicated layer, smart sharpened background layer, gaussian blur on foreground layer, erased strip along middle.

Tried something out today with limited results. Not even sure if I like it any more, partially because I'm tired to PP'd it really badly. Anyway, here it is. Kind of think it fits into the theme of Curiosity as well.
PP: Increased brightness, increased contrast, desaturated, duplicated layer, shadows brightened, lots of erasing, selected round stairs, erased closer, used soft edged brush to take the edge off a bit.

Had a random idea to do this today, originally wanted to do a cassette and a DVD/Blu Ray but couldn't find a cassette. This came out better than that would have anyway. The theme is Progression I know they're all a bit wonky but my bed covers aren't that flat Will be entering this in the photography challenge
PP: Auto levels, auto colour, copied front most subject to new layer and smart sharpened.

I was thinking the same mate. Might try it when I have more time with a sheet as a background or something DIY styley ftw We even have some fairy lights cable tied to twigs that I could put in the background

I have driven past this road a few times and it really does look awesome at night, so I decided tonight was the night to get a pic of it, despite the -1C temperatures. It hasn't come out exactly how I wanted as I would have liked to use a higher aperture, but the camera reckons it would have been too dark.
PP: Auto levels, smart sharpen.
And yes, that is my car under the light. Without going on someone's drive there aren't many places to park

I've been meaning to do this for a while and finally got around to it today. Printed off Carl Fredricksen of Up fame on the A3 printer It was easier to work with but still took me about an hour and a half to make I actually glued this one together as well, unlike the original.

Today the pic is a tribute to my old car which was sold and driven back to Bedfordshire. I gave it a good clean which must have taken about 3 hours or so before the buyers came to look at it. It was sad seeing it drive away but it looked good doing it. All the best to my first car
