Come off it. Rooney is much better than Tevez. Rooney has been doing it for years in the Premiership.

Tevez - 38 goals in 109 games (86 starts) = Goal every 2.87 games (or 2.26 starts)
Berb - 43 goals in 119 games (105 starts) = Goal every 2.76 games (or 2.44 starts)
TBH thats fairly equal over their careers in the PL, then add in the work load they both do and Id say Tevez easily edges it.

Amazing how two United fans clearly cant see that it shows Tevez has just as good a scoring record over his time in the PL and offers so much more besides.

tevez international games/goals ratio: 51/8 15.7%
Berb games/goals 76/48 63.2%

What has that got to do with anything, really clutching at straws if you think you can compare international goals

Not clutching at straws at all, berbatov is the better footballer
And that international record shows how good is he, that return is amazing

I'll be honest, I didnt expect him to be so close to Berb in the scoring stats, especially when you consider he had 1 or 2 seasons playing in an utterly shite WHU side.

The porblem with international football and comparing stats for players is that they play against such different opposition, so they can really screw the results. I mean Crouch's international career is something like 18 in 35 ffs
If you cant accept 5yrs of PL football as a fair comparison then you're clutching at straws.

Does that mean Crouch is better than Tevez?
35/18

True, i agree, i didn't expect him to be so close either
Look at assists though from berbatov nearly 1 in 2 games compared to 1 in 4

No-one can argue with crouch's record for england either, and i think he had a really good return at pompey didnt he when he had a good run in the team. He would be a really good player if he could head a ball

I thought I would use that answer as you thought it was good enough for you a couple of pages back when confronted with some stats

So now comparing games and players means using the same stats?
You didnt think this one through did you?

Apparently you were attempting to compare the facts you can use to questions players as I used to question who was the better team - so yes you were.

Im not wound up to need a chill pill, Im pointing out that I used that reply when someone posted up a load of stats about the game (number of corners and tackles ffs) in a way to prove that United were the better team. Where as you posted it up when I put up stats of gaols scored to prove which was the better forward.
Hence why I said you hadnt thought that though.

Where have i said i can't accept it, i said i was surprised, and then added international level, again i can agree a differing oppostion. Then i added assists, where berb is clearly better.
And imo those types of forwards, rooney/tevez/berbatov etc need to provide assists as well
And also, he left united because we didn't need 3 of them, and fergie decided who was the worst of the three, and imo got it right
The problem fergie has, imo is that he needs a striker torres/drogba/defoe kind of player to get the best out of rooney and berbatov
I would take david villa (never gonna happen) then play berbatov off him, and rooney on the right or left, because his work rate is more like that of a midfielder imo
