Agree. Wish lennon played today wouldve made all the difference. Thought he should of taken off jenas moved kranjar to the middle and put rose/dos santos on the wing. Was like watching chelsea with all those long balls, fucking played rubbish.

Jenas is a big pile of wank, it was clear who the linesmen and ref were playing for tonight! the whistle was always blown after the croud reaction and not after the event, ah well done them the start of season anyway and there still behind us. Can't see us finishing 4th we are gonna be 6th.

Good performance and some desire and discipline from our players last night (for once). I thought everyone played there part including the fans. Defoe's goal probably should have stood but we looked like we wanted it more and the fans 100% helped the situation. Bit more of that please, wolves and bolton next I think.

Only heard it on the radio this morning but does Rafa honestly think Liverpool are back in the title race now?

I think you know the answer to that, I also think you know the spin that has been put on his comments!

I just wondered if they'd got the quote wrong on the radio Tom as they then went on to talk about the race for 4th.

TBH even if he doesnt think it, saying it and showing belief in his players publicly isnt always a bad thing, especially given the low confidence the team has had for a while now.

At least Wenger actually saw something

I haven't seen the tackle, so can't comment, but it doesn't sound like it was very good.

Edit...

They always look miles worse in replays, was similar to the Eduardo one imo, which I personally didn't think was an awful challenge... the opposition player (Davis in last nights game) got to the ball a split second quicker, it was a bit high. It could of been a hell of a lot worse than it was, seems he's avoided serious injury according to SSN.

Can't see why the ref didn't give at least a free kick if he saw it, that's the reason they can't punish him apparently.

I bet if you looked at all the matches you could find every simple prem player having done a tackle like that.

How bad the injury can often just come down to how much weight is on the leg. You could have a might higher 'worse' tackle but if they players weight is all on his other leg can often get away with just a bruise or knock on his shin-pad

It was a red card though mate. No doubt about it.
