What cups that ? Sorry forgot to mention it's a Civic type R, so do you not take previous cars into account ? Just got my renewal through from Brentacre fully comp with all mods and points etc declared 1104
Sorry I thought you drove a Clio Cup from your profile!
Previous history is taken into account yes and the minimum age for CTRs is 25.

I recommend you just give the team a ring back. We don't put the phone down on people. More likely due to the new phone system in our new offices as we've just moved there today!

So you don't really cover for anyone driving any sort of performance car which i'd presume kind of defeats the point of advertising on here, as most users are under 22 and the ones that are over drive XE's or GSi which you also class as a performance car it seems...
Don't really understand what the appeal would be for a consumer off this forum ?
I'll stick with Brentacre who have insured me and various friends on S2000's, megane R26's countless CTRs and we're all 22 - 23

Just 22+ for COMP cover and 19+ for TPFT and you'd need a year's experience of driving that of a similar performance car.
Going off this my 5 previous car's have been over 200 Bhp, but you won't insure me on a CTR ?

Yes we do! You just need to have previous experience of driving similar performance cars and some cars like ctrs we don't cover till age 25.
I'd have to disagree regarding the demographics you quote about this forum. We are already doing quotes so people do qualify.
Just not yourself unfortunately.

That's why i said most are 22, and one's that aren't generally drive cars that you seem to not be able to insure till people are 25.
Can you name me a performance car that you do insure for under 25's..

Please refer to the list I posted within this thread. They are for drivers over 25. All others are OK for 22+ for Comp cover.

I mentioned this earlier in the thread Rob. Car enthuiast Forums are usually full of young drivers with high powered cars, therefore not the best place to advertise bearing in mind the restrictions.

Sorry CorsAsh but it is working for us.
Remember not everyone posts feedback on here and it does seem the same people are always posting.
Consider the amount of registered users on here!

And the ammount of active users, then the ammount of active users with a "none" risk car. Then the ammount of those that are over 22.
I'd say it's not really the best but if you've gained one or two customers fair enough.
I can't think of a performance car, hot hatch or similar that isn't in the list that may be half decent..

Well if they're doing a bit of business and that amounts to cheaper premiums for those who do qualify, happy days. I don't see the benefits of denigrating the service too vehemently just because you personally are not eligible.

Plus although there are those of us with xe's and other hot hatch/sports cars, I'm sure there are still young people on here with 1.0/1.2/1.4 which could get a good deal out of this scheme?
