Sure I read somewhere that power to weight ratios of a Corsa XE is more than a couple of Ferraris etc too - always sounds quite impressive

The old classic shape UK turbos have a power to weight ratio of 177 bhp ton, they are a fairly light weight car for the size, weighing in around 1230kg. Not amazingly fast, but can still hold their own against many of the newer hot hatches.

People talk about redtop Corsas as if they came out of the factory like that. I think that every single XE'd Corsa is different from the other, so they will all be different performance wise.

If I was doing a conversion I would pick the lightest shell possible and completely strip it then drop the engine in.
