I ve had an SRiT 7.5 years and never got above 26 mpg, not too bad though car only does 3000 miles a year.

On its 4th turbo in 55k miles.

For sale at the right price.

never drove either so cant really comment..


but if i was you, i'd go test drive a few of each and see which you like most

Those 3000 miles must be at full throttle hitting the limiter if your eating turbos that quick!!

Mainly due to thermal stress only ever does 5 miles max before it switched off.

Drive it on torque mainly so never realy revs above 4k

Invest in a turbo timer? Might help out, got to be cheaper than replacing a turbo

i know people saying about bad handling astras but the nurburgendy in v 2.0 and v 2.1 has allways been excelent

Whats the best all round setup for an astra anyways? Good set of shocks & springs, RARB, strut braces?

My Missus has got an Astra Coupe Turbo and we've in the process of fitting the Whiteline Catalogue to it Shims, Castor bushes, strut brace, ARB etc etc. Will be ready for Combe so hopefully i'll find out if these things can handle

Yes I live not far away from Leamington I went to the engineering college there.
